How to use these words in a game

    1. Generate a list. Pick a difficulty and a category, then press Generate words. Press it again for a fresh set.
    2. Playing online? Create a Draw & Guess room on Drawblins. In the room settings, paste the copied words, separated by commas, into the Custom words box. Tick Custom words only if you want just your list, and add at least four words.
    3. Playing in person? Read the words out one at a time, or write them on cards, and let each drawer pick one without showing anyone else.

Drawblins also has a large built-in word list, so you only need your own words for a theme, such as an office's in-jokes or a class's vocabulary.

    Choosing the right difficulty

    • Easy words have one obvious picture: a cat, a key, a cake. Use them for kids, new players and warm-up rounds.
    • Medium words need a little cleverness, like a telescope or a penguin. They suit most groups of adults and teenagers.
    • Hard words are abstract or hard to draw in 60 seconds, like procrastinating or a kaleidoscope. They suit experienced players, and they make for the funniest drawings.

As a rule, a word works in Pictionary when it has a single clear visual and everyone already knows what it is. The best hard words are ones where you can draw a part of the idea, not the whole thing.
